India m2m + iot Forum 2015 Reaches State of Extreme Excitement!

New Delhi, India, 25 February 2015m2mpaper.com delivers an extremely successful second edition of India m2m + iot forum 2015 that was held on Thursday, 19 February 2015 and Friday, 20 February 2015 at The Royal Plaza, 19 Ashok Road, New Delhi, India. The forum presented an incisive two-day agenda showcasing the strategic perspective of the Stake-Holders from m2m + iot Eco-System, with extremely focused deliberations from the Key and Nodal Government Agencies and Departments and the industry’s ‘C-level’ Executives managing leading-edge implementations, and founders of innovative start-ups that are seeking to revolutionize the m2m and iot market space.

India m2m + iot Forum 2015 received an overwhelming response from the entire machine-to-machine and internet of things fraternity, both from the government and industry at large. The impressive line-up of participations were from the major national and multinational companies and organizations from public and private sectors, academic institutions, research and development organizations, manufacturers and suppliers, solutions and services providers, civic decision making bodies, nodal agencies and organizations, industry alliances and trade organizations, media services companies and organizations, and the end-users. The forum offered 12 extensive hours of networking each day with 150 plus high profile delegates, including 50 speakers from the government and industry. The forum was supported by Slovenia as Country Partner, and received support from the Department of Telecommunication (DOT), Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC), Department of Electronics And Information Technology (DeitY), Department of Science & Technology (DST) and Hi-Tech Slovenia as Government Partners. The entire forum received an overwhelming support from more than 80 partners nationally and globally.

India m2m + iot Forum 2015 brought together the government and industry experts who discussed and deliberated upon a range of topics within the framed theme. Day one started with a brief talk by the Guest of Honour for the day, Her Excellency Mrs. Darja Bavdaž Kuret, Ambassador, Embassy of The Republic of Slovenia in India, who highlighted the technological advancements in Slovenia and synergies between India and Slovenia in the machine-to-machine (m2m) and internet of things (iot) space. Mr. A. K. Bhargava, Member Technology, Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India in his Keynote Address highlighted the Indian perspective on ‘Turning the Vision of m2m and iot into Reality’. ‘The Eco System ‘REAL SCENARIO’ – where do we stand in 2015?’, another very informative and thought provoking keynote address was delivered by Dr. Asok Chatterjee, Executive Director, Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) and Head – Industry Standardization, Ericsson India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Dinesh Chand Sharma, Director-Standardization, Policy and Regulation, Seconded European Standardization Expert in India (SESEI) explained the ‘Role of Standards’ in the m2m and iot ecosystem. The topics of all panel discussions were very well addressed by all moderators and panelists.

Mr. Sachin Pukale, Lead Business Development Manager, MachinePulse contributed industry’s perspective in terms of the Opportunities & Challenges that the stakeholders of the m2m and iot domain witness in the Indian market. Mr. Swarup Dey, Product Sales Manager, Advantech India gave an interesting insight into the smart city solutions that are available for the Indian market.

India m2m + iot Forum 2015 hosted a one-day exhibition on 19 February 2015. Some of the key exhibitors were Advantech India, Altiux Innovations, Altizon Systems, Bhanusoft Tech, BuildTrack, Karunya University, Prodapt, Smart24x7 Response Services, Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM), Vodafone India Limited, who showcased their products and technologies to the audience.

The second day was dedicated to Smart Cities and Start-up’s. The First half of the day focused on ‘India Smart City Forum 2015 – ‘smart cities – smarter world’. National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) was the co-organizer for ‘India Smart City Forum 2015’, held on Friday, 20 February 2015 during ‘India m2m + iot Forum 2015’. The guest of honour speech was delivered by H. E. Mr. Viljar Lubi, Ambassador, Embassy of The Republic of Estonia in India who highlighted some key points about the technological advancements in Estonia and the ongoing work for Smart Cities in Estonia. H. E. Mr. Viljar Lubi also expressed a high interest with regards to companies from Estonia in the machine-to-machine (m2m) and internet of things (iot) space who wish to explore the potential in the Indian markets, especially for the smart cities. Prof. Jagan Shah, Director, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) delivered the Keynote address on ‘Making Cities Liveable, Workable, and Sustainable’. Thereafter the Smart City panel discussion on ‘The Smart City Vision – ‘turning the Smart City Vision into REALITY’ was moderated by Dr. Asok Chatterjee, Head – Industry Standardization, Executive Director, TSDSI and Mr. Michael Mulquin, Director, IS Communications Ltd, respectively. The panelists shared their very valuable inputs to the interesting and informative discussions for the Smart Cities.

The second half of the day was dedicated to the innovative start-up’s in the m2m and iot space who came together to present and demonstrate at the ‘Start-up’s Forum’. India m2m + iot Forum 2015 was indeed honoured to have Vodafone India Limited as ‘Start-up’s Forum Sponsor’. Mr. GovindaRaj Avasarala, Head – Enterprise Mobility, Vodafone India Limited shared his views on ‘Growing Big Through M2M/IoT Partnerships’ followed by Mr. Tomaž Vidonja, CMO and Customer Development, ICT Technology Network Institute who highlighted the ‘Start-up’s perspective’. All Start-up’s companies presented their takes on m2m and iot sector provoking the audience with many questions leading to an extremely fruitful and very informative discussion.
