PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 19, 2016 – Trusted Computing Group (TCG), a global security standards organization, and its Japan Regional Forum will host a workshop November 2, 2016, 13:30 – 19:30, at Akihabara UDX Next 1 for members and others interested in cybersecurity.
This eighth annual Tokyo-based workshop includes presentations from leading cybersecurity agencies and experts in Japan and multi-vendor demonstrations implementing TCG specifications for embedded, enterprise and Internet of Things security. TCG’s TPM 2.0 Library Specification was adopted this year by ISO as ISO/IEC 11889:2015.
The program will include a keynote address from Professor Hideyuki Tokuda, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University and Cyber Security Executive Adviser, National Center of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC) and Shingo Abe, information analyst, ICS Security Response Group at JPCERT/CC (Japan Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center).
A panel discussion will examine the role of all stakeholders to build safer cyberspace. In the first part, cyberspace safety and security will addressed from the public health point of view with. Yasuhide Yamada, Director General of Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Japan (Office for Preparedness and Response to Pandemic Influenza and New Infectious Diseases Coordination Office of Measures on Emerging Infectious Diseases and the former director of Cybersecurity policy in Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). The second part of the discussion will include roles and guidance for security industries, government entities, and users in information security. A reception for attendees and speakers follows.
