Wilmington, MA, January 08, 2018 — OnBoard Security, a leader in IoT security, announced a major commitment from a private investor as part of their first-round financing. This investment has made it possible for OnBoard Security to complete the previously announced spin-off from Security Innovation. It also represents a significant portion of the company’s overall funding target, the balance of which is expected to close at the end of January. The current Security Innovation investors will continue to hold shares in OnBoard Security.
The investment will be used to increase engineering staff, add features to the award-winning Aerolink® V2V security software, and develop new trusted computing products to complement its industry-leading TrustSentinel TSS 2.0 product.
“I am excited about jumpstarting our next phase of growth, and we are already adding the staff needed to accelerate the development of new products and the delivery of first-class support to our customers and partners,” said Peter Samson, President and CEO of OnBoard Security. “We are also expanding our board of directors to include leaders from the automotive and semiconductor industries.”
