Recent hacks of various models of cars have proven that we need to consider security as important as other aspects of auto electronics. Whether these vulnerabilities are exploited remotely or within the actual vehicle, researchers and others have proven that no system is safe from malicious or other attacks.

TCG has been working in the industry, including recently with the SAE (http://www.trustedcomputinggroup.org/media_room/events/189) and with major automakers and suppliers to provide proof of concept of using trust and TCG standards in cars for better security.

This month, Nov. 27, New Delhi, TCG member representative Aman Puri of Fujitu will address attendees of the India Smart Automotive Forum on how trusted computing and widely accepted international standards, such as that for the TPM, can better protect cars and ensure safe updates for software.

The India Smart Automotive Forum 2015 aims to highlight the role and importance of machine-to-machine (m2m) technologies and internet of things in the Automotive space and the latest happenings in the automotive industry. TCG is an association sponsor of this event.
