Trusted Computing Group has recently lost one of its great long-time champions.  Frank Molsberry, who capably represented Dell for a number of years on the TCG Board of Directors, passed away on Feb. 16, 2017.

Frank was known among TCG members for his sense of humor and quick wit, pragmatism and problem solving, and sense of grace, in addition to his deep knowledge of security.  In various roles over a decade, he helped guide TCG as it evolved its ISO-adopted Trusted Platform Module specification, and championed TCG at every opportunity. He also was active in helping drive implementation and adoption of other TCG standards and in engaging his colleagues at Dell and other companies in TCG’s educational efforts worldwide.

In his honor, TCG has renamed its Distinguished Service Award as the Frank Molsberry Distinguished Service Award.

In addition to his family and professional obligations, Frank was an enthusiastic supporter and mentor for STEM education. Frank was born in Iowa and via the University of Texas at Austin, became a resident of the Lone Star State, where he applied his many technology skills at IBM and later, Dell. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, and leaves his wife and three sons and extended family.
