Recognizes Seven Members for Technical and Leadership Contributions
PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 1, 2017 — Trusted Computing Group (@TrustedComputin) today announced it has elected two contributor advisors to its board of directors. The group also recognized seven members for their contributions, leadership and service.
Monty Wiseman and Will Arthur were elected by TCG members to serve as advisors to the board for a one-year term. Wiseman, principal engineer, GE Global Research, and Arthur, principal cyber engineer, Raytheon Cyber Solutions, have contributed to a number of TCG specifications and standards, including for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and the Trusted Software Stack. Both had spoken and written frequently on trusted computing and security and currently are involved in TCG’s efforts to extend trusted computing to industrial equipment, IoT and embedded systems security.
Wiseman also was named the recipient of the TCG Frank Molsberry Distinguished Service Award, named for the long-time TCG contributor from Dell. The group awarded HP’s Carey Huscroft and Andreas Fuchs of Fraunhofer SIT for the TCG Leadership Award.
Dennis Mattoon, Microsoft; Guy Fedorkow, Juniper Networks; Michael Cox, OnBoard Security; and Philip Tricca, Intel Corporation were awarded as TCG Key Contributors for their work developing and updating TCG specifications and standards for the Device Identifier Composition Engine (DICE), secure network equipment and the Trusted Software Stack.
TCG has expanded its concept of trust and security from enterprise computing and networking to embedded, IoT, and network equipment security in 2017 with new work groups and subgroups and a number of new specifications and guidance documents.
