Date Published: April, 05, 2017

PORTLAND, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)— Ideas, techniques, research and practical solutions to address security and privacy challenges will be shared at the International Trusted Computing and Security Innovation Summit hosted by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) and TC 260 (China National Security Standards Committee) April 6, 2017, at the Lakeview Hotel at Peking University in Beijing, China.

The conference will bring together keynotes and technical presentations from security and privacy experts representing academic research institutions, leading-edge technology companies, and government. Topics include trusted computing techniques used to mitigate risks and provide assurance while meeting market requirements, perspectives on how standardization and community collaboration can create the necessary conditions for innovation and optimism, and new tools and research intended to bridge the security and privacy gaps in the marketplace today. Participants will hear global perspectives on trusted computing through the vision and strategic insights of domestic and international speakers.

“As more and more devices are being connected in cyberspace, supporting rapid adoption of various applications including cloud computing and artificial intelligence based services, we are also facing growing cyber threats. One of the major challenges and opportunities is how to maintain a sufficient level of innovation to keep users safe. We are very excited to have many security and standard experts, including government, academic and enterprise representatives, come together to speak at this annual international summit, to offer their perspectives and best practices around trusted computing technology in various areas,” said Jing de Jong Chen, Vice President TCG.  “We anticipate a successful conference designed to support collaboration and innovation.”

Since 2009, TCG’s Greater China Regional Forum has been working with Chinese enterprise and academic experts to promote collaborative international trusted computing standards development to address both global and domestic market requirements. The TPM 2.0 specification was approved and released as ISO/IEC 11889:2015 by the International Standards Organization/International Electromechanical Commission in 2015.
